Uditvani: A new chapter began for rail connectivity in the region as Adityapur Railway Station witnessed the historic flag-off of the Tata-Hatia MEMU train on Wednesday.
In a move that fulfills a long-standing public demand, the Tata-Hatia MEMU service, which previously originated from Tatanagar, will now also start from Adityapur.
This shift is set to enhance the utility of Adityapur station and offer increased travel convenience to daily commuters and long-distance passengers alike.
The Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway has been focused on developing Adityapur into a more prominent rail hub. Launching a major MEMU service from the station marks a significant milestone in that direction.
Residents and local leaders celebrated the occasion with enthusiasm. The train’s crew was warmly welcomed with garlands, and the atmosphere at the station was charged with pride and celebration. Many hailed the moment as a breakthrough for regional rail infrastructure.
On the occasion, community representatives urged railway authorities to introduce more trains from Adityapur, highlighting the station’s strategic location and growing passenger demand.
Among the attendees were social figures such as Jharkhand Chetna Manch president Suresh Dhari and activist Shrinivas Yadav, both of whom applauded the railway’s initiative and emphasized the potential for future development through enhanced connectivity.
The successful launch of the Tata-Hatia MEMU from Adityapur is being seen as a promising sign of greater things to come for the region’s transportation network.
