UditVani, Jamshedpur : A team of Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur chapter visited the GreenSole Skill Center in Noamundi, as part of climate change initiatives.
The Yi members donated 10 boxes of used shoes to support GreenSole’s exceptional mission of refurbishing discarded footwear into comfortable slippers for those in need.
The initiative strongly resonates with the principles of 3R’s
– Reduce: Minimizing waste by diverting used shoes from landfills.
– Reuse: Extending the life of footwear by repurposing them.
– Recycle: Transforming old shoes into new products that benefit underprivileged communities.
” By collaborating with GreenSole, we are contributing to a sustainable future while empowering marginalized groups with skills and employment opportunities, ” said a YI member who was part of the team adding that together they take meaningful steps toward environmental conservation and community welfare.
