UditVani, Jamshedpur: XLRI, India’s oldest and among its most prestigious B-schools, has announced the launch of its PGDM (BM) Program with International Specialization Tracks, developed in collaboration with leading universities in the United States and France.
The initiative aims to meet the rising global demand for managers with strong foundational training and advanced interdisciplinary expertise.
Designed to address the needs of emerging, technology-driven industries, the program blends XLRI’s rigorous first-year PGDM (BM) curriculum with advanced, domain-focused second-year coursework delivered by international partner universities.
Students completing the program will earn XLRI’s PGDM (BM) degree along with an MS/MBA from the partner institution through a structured credit-transfer model.
For the 2026–28 batch, XLRI will offer nine International Specialization Tracks in collaboration with four renowned institutions:
George Washington Business School, USA
– International Business
– Sports Management
– Business Analytics
– Project Management
Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, USA
– Marketing (STEM)
Rutgers Business School, Rutgers University, USA
– Healthcare Analytics & Intelligence
IAE Paris Sorbonne Business School, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, France
– Healthcare Management
Each track includes over 400 hours of advanced domain content, offering significantly deeper specialization than conventional MBA programs. Students will complete their foundational coursework at XLRI before joining the partner university in the Fall semester for specialization.
Most U.S.-based tracks are STEM-designated, allowing students to apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) extensions under current regulations. Students in France will be eligible for a 12-month renewable residence/work permit under Indo-French mobility arrangements.
Selected students will gain access to academic resources, career services, and recruitment opportunities at both XLRI and the partner institutions.
Scholarships and credit-transfer provisions ensure dual degrees at substantially reduced overall costs.
Admissions will be processed through the standard PGDM (BM) selection route, with applicants required to have completed four years of full-time education after higher secondary (10+2+4).
Candidates can indicate their interest in the specialization tracks via the XAT application.
Established in 1949, XLRI is India’s oldest business school, known for its academic excellence, ethical leadership training, and its legacy of producing global business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.
