
UditVani, Jamshedpur : XLRI Jamshedpur once again proved its stature as a thought leader in business education with the successful hosting of FULCRUM 5.0 on October 11.
The flagship consulting conclave, themed “Reimagining Consulting: Innovation, AI, and Talent,” was organized by the PGDM (GM) batch under the aegis of the Kautilya Consulting Club.
The event brought together an impressive lineup of global industry leaders, consultants, and academicians for a day of high-impact discussions on the evolving consulting landscape in the age of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

The conclave unfolded through three engaging panel sessions, each highlighting critical dimensions of consulting’s future.
The first panel, “Start-Up Thinking in Big Firms: Intrapreneurship in Consulting,” featured industry stalwarts like Prashant Mehra (Grant Thornton Bharat LLP), Utkalika Badu (Gartner), Soumala Sarkar (Accenture), Rajesh Narayan (LatentView Analytics), CA Dipen Trivedi (BDO), Debashish Biswas (Deloitte), and Maneesha Gupta (Cognizant). Speakers underscored how fostering an entrepreneurial mindset within large organizations fuels innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth.
The second panel, “Consulting Reimagined: Adapting to the GenAI Era,” saw experts including Shamindra Basu (IBM), Vidhya Visweswarababu (Deloitte Digital), Karthikeyan Girijanandan (Ascendion), Shrikant Sarda (Accenture), Akhilesh Sahu (Alvarez & Marsal), and Dipanjan Bhattacharyya (Accenture). They discussed the transformative potential of Generative AI and emphasized the necessity of human-AI collaboration to deliver meaningful business outcomes in a rapidly changing world.
The final panel, “Talent Advantage in Consulting: Building the Workforce of the Future,” featured insights from Rohit Gambhir (Centric Consulting), Ravindra Yadav (The Knowledge Company), Disha Roy (Publicis Sapient), Rachna Nath (Intueri Consulting), Rayan Modi (BDO Executive Search), and Dr. Rupesh Kumar Singh (EY). The discussion highlighted that in the age of automation, human qualities like empathy, adaptability, and trust remain consulting’s strongest differentiators.
