Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident from Baghra village under Bodam block of Jamshedpur district, a 34-year-old woman, Vinita Singh, was allegedly beaten to death by her husband.
The police reached the spot upon receiving information and sent the body for postmortem after conducting an inquest.
According to sources, Vinita Singh and her husband, Sadanand Singh, were both employed at a local brick kiln.
On Monday evening, the couple returned home from work and consumed alcohol together.
The next morning, Sadanand reportedly found his wife lying unresponsive and immediately informed the police.
Vinita’s family members have accused Sadanand of murdering her by beating her to death.
However, police sources state that no external injury marks were visible on the body. Authorities are now waiting for the postmortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation and questioned several locals and family members.
They have not made any arrests yet, citing the need to establish facts through the autopsy report. The case remains under investigation, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings.
