UditVani Jamshedpur : IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of heat wave at several places across Jharkhand in the next two days.
Today ( Saturday ), heat wave prevailed at isolated places over West Singhbhum, East Singbhum,
Saraikela- Kharsawan, Garhwa, Palamu, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara and Dumka districts.
On Sunday ( March 16), heat wave is likely to prevail at isolated places over
West Singhbhum, East Singbhum,
Saraikela- Kharsawan,
Garhwa, Palamu, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara,
Dumka and Pakur districts.
On Monday (March 17) heat wave would prevail in some parts of Kolhan region especially East Singbhum and Saraikela- Kharsawan.
Met statistics revealed that the maximum temperature has touched an oppressive 40 degree Celsius at several places including Jamshedpur, Daltonganj and Bokaro.
Chaibasa in West Singhbhum was the hottest place today with the maximum temperature climbing up to 41 degree Celsius today.
The day’s temperature has also touched 40 degree Celsius at Godda, Garhwa and Pakur.
Ranchi today recorded maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius.
The forecast suggested further rise in maximum temperature in the next 48 hours.
