
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a shocking turn of events, Jamshedpur witnessed two separate suicides on Thursday, leaving families and neighbours in grief.
In the Mango police station area, 41-year-old Amrit Pal Singh of Punjabi Line was found hanging in his home around 10 a.m. Neighbors alerted authorities immediately.
Singh, who had experienced the end of two marriages and lost his mother earlier this year, was reportedly battling deep depression and alcoholism. Police have collected evidence and launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances.
Meanwhile, under Parsudih police jurisdiction, a 20-year-old laborer, employed for the past 20 days at Sultan Seth’s residence on Makhadumpur Road No-2, was found dead in his room. When he failed to come out in the morning, the homeowner broke the door and discovered him hanging. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and preliminary investigations indicate suicide, though authorities are examining all angles.
These incidents have sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the urgent need for mental health awareness and support. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigations.
