Jamshedpur : A one-day training program on the usage of the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) mobile application was organized at the collectorate auditorium here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner Aniket Sachan.
The training was aimed at all Block Program Officers (BPOs) of the district under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
During the session, it was explained that the NMMS app is an effective tool to record the real-time attendance of workers engaged in MGNREGA projects.
Attendance will now be taken in two shifts and uploaded through the mapped mates at the panchayat level using the mobile app.
Sachan emphasized that the use of this app has been made mandatory for recording attendance in community-based schemes under MGNREGA.
He stated that wage payments will be based strictly on the attendance recorded in the NMMS app, ensuring transparency and promoting a more streamlined and timely payment process.
He instructed all BPOs to ensure the smooth operation of the app in their respective blocks and to provide further training to Gram Rojgar Sevaks (GRS) and mates, ensuring effective implementation of the scheme.
Following this district-level training, all BPOs will conduct local training sessions in their respective blocks to ensure all field-level functionaries are well-versed in using the NMMS mobile application.
