Jamshedpur: In view of Ram Navami festival, the city police, under the leadership of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), conducted a flag march today across various sensitive areas to ensure law and order, and promote peace and harmony.
The march witnessed participation from senior officers, including the City SP, station in-charges from various police stations, and a large contingent of police personnel.
The flag march covered areas like Mango, Azadnagar, Sakchi, and Bistupur, which have been identified as sensitive zones during the festival.
As the police force moved through main roads and inner lanes, they appealed to residents to maintain peace and cooperate with authorities.
Officials emphasized that the Ram Navami procession should be carried out in a traditional and peaceful manner, and assured that all security arrangements are firmly in place.
The SSP urged citizens not to pay attention to rumors and assured that social media is being closely monitored. He warned that any attempt to disrupt public order will be dealt with strictly.
The administration has also deployed Quick Response Teams (QRT), riot control units, and women police personnel as part of the enhanced security plan. Additionally, drone cameras and CCTV surveillance have been put in place to keep a close watch on the proceedings.
Through the flag march, the police sent a strong message of preparedness and reassured the public of their commitment to ensuring a safe and harmonious Ram Navami celebration.
