Udit Vani Jamshedpur: Team LAA continued its stellar cricketing form by winning the inaugural Vijay Sindoor Trophy, defeating NIT XI by 4 wickets in a high-octane final held at the iconic NIT Downs Ground.
This marks LAA’s third consecutive tournament victory this season, further establishing its dominance on the cricket field.
The tournament, organized by NIT, was held to commemorate the successful completion of Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces. Three teams—LAA, NIT XI, and the Dental Association—competed for the prestigious title in a tightly contested format.
In the final match, Utkarsh Sharma of Team LAA emerged as the star performer, bagging the Man of the Match award for his sensational all-round effort. Sharma hammered 44 runs off just 15 balls and took 2 crucial wickets, playing a pivotal role in LAA’s victory.
Team LAA also bagged multiple honors throughout the tournament. Yim Dotivala was named Best Fielder, while Jasraj Khanuja, Abhik, and Dhiraj each secured Man of the Match awards during the league stages.
