
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tata Steel and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) have announced the return of the prestigious Tata Open golf tournament, scheduled to be held from December 25 to 28, 2025, at the scenic Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.
The four-day championship will carry an attractive prize purse of Rs 2 crore, reaffirming its stature as one of the most awaited events on the Indian professional golf calendar.
The tournament will feature a strong field of 126 professionals, competing in a stroke-play format over four rounds of 18 holes each.
After two rounds, the top 50 players and ties will make the cut, setting the stage for an intense weekend battle among the country’s finest golfers.
The Tata Open will be played across two iconic venues.
While players will alternate between Beldih and Golmuri courses in the initial rounds, the final rounds will test skill and temperament on the challenging fairways of the Beldih Golf Course.
Known for their lush greens and demanding layouts, both courses promise high-quality competition and thrilling action for golf enthusiasts.
Several of India’s leading professionals are expected to headline the field, including past champions and top-ranked PGTI players, adding depth and excitement to the championship.
The event is also expected to attract a wide digital and on-ground audience, further enhancing Jamshedpur’s reputation as a key destination for elite sporting events.
The tournament will feature some of the top Indian professionals such as 2025 PGTI Order of Merit champion Yuvraj Sandhu, 2024 PGTI Order of Merit Champion Veer Ahlawat, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Arjun Prasad, Manu Gandas, Angad Cheema, Om Prakash Chouhan ( former champion ) , Ajeetesh Sandhu, Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi and Chikkarangappa , to name a few.
The top foreign players are Sri Lankans N Thangaraja and Mithun Perera ( former champion ), Bangladesh’s Md Siddikur Rahman and Jamal Hossain, Czech Republic’s Stepan Danek , American Koichiro Sato, Nepal’s Subash Tamang and Uganda’s Joshua Seale.
The local challenge will be led by professional Kurush Heerjee.
