
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Tarapore School celebrated its 20th Annual Sports Day with great pride and enthusiasm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The event featured vibrant performances, spirited athletic competitions, and energetic involvement from students across all grades. The celebration was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kumar Shivashish, Superintendent of Police, City Jamshedpur, whose presence added significance to the occasion.

The programme began with a grand march past by the school leaders and students from Classes IX to XII. Their coordinated steps and disciplined formation showcased teamwork and dedication. This year, the students paid a special tribute to the Indian Women’s Cricket Team for their remarkable victory against South Africa in this year’s World Cup finale. Their presentation was a proud moment for the school community, honouring national achievement through creativity and respect.
Students from various grades presented well-coordinated drill displays, which added colour and charm to the event. The march past competition witnessed keen participation from all four Houses. Amber House secured the first position, reflecting the effort and preparation put in by the team.

Best Athlete Awards were presented across the sub-junior, junior, and senior categories, recognising outstanding performances on the field. In the sub-junior category, the Best Athlete (Boys) was Vishal Mardi and Best Athlete (Girls) was Sapna Pradhan. In the junior category, the Best Athlete (Boys) was Dharmal Mardi and Best Athlete (Girls) was Komal Kumari. In the senior category, the Best Athlete (Boys) was Jasdeep Singh and Best Athlete (Girls) was Tanisha Sharma.
The announcement of the Sportsperson of the Year, awarded to Komal Kumari, stood out as an important highlight of the day, acknowledging consistent commitment, skill, and sportsmanship.
The Overall Championship of Sporting Events went to Garnet House. The overall championship trophy, one of the most awaited announcements, was again awarded to Garnet House, recognising their consistent performance across various events and competitions.
The 20th Annual Sports Day concluded on a joyful note, celebrating athletic excellence and the spirit of healthy competition. All winners received medals and certificates, making the day memorable for students and spectators alike.
