
Jamshedpur : Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi inaugurated its six-day residential Summer Programme in Management (SPM) on May 26 welcoming undergraduate and recent graduate students from across the country.
Designed for those aspiring to pursue a career in management, the programme offers a foundational understanding of key management concepts and skills.
The academic initiative covers a wide range of topics including basic principles of management, self-assessment methods, the distinction between management and administration, and skill development for personal and professional growth.
The curriculum also includes guidance on admission processes to premier management institutes, such as preparation for the Common Admission Test (CAT).
The inauguration ceremony was led by Programme Directors Prof. Rajeev Verma, Prof. Krishna Kumar Dadsena, and Prof. Jagan Kumar Sur, along with other faculty members. Prof. Dadsena emphasized the role of management education in holistic development and career success.
Prof. Verma welcomed the participants and highlighted the value of clear thinking, effective communication, and strong subject knowledge. Prof. Sur elaborated on the relevance and applicability of the subjects covered during the six-day programme.
Students from states such as Jharkhand, New Delhi, Lucknow, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Chennai, and West Bengal are participating in the programme.
The training adopts a case study-driven approach, enabling students to grasp practical and theoretical aspects of management.
The programme will conclude on May 31, 2025, equipping participants with the foundational acumen to navigate their future journey in the field of management.
