UditVani, Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren were met today by the newly elected Mayor of Mango Municipal Corporation, Jamshedpur, Sudha Gupta, along with former minister Banna Gupta, at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office on Kanke Road, Ranchi. The meeting was a courtesy call.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister congratulated Sudha Gupta on being elected Mayor of Mango Municipal Corporation and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.
It may be noted that in the recently concluded Mango Municipal Corporation elections, Sudha Gupta, wife of former minister Banna Gupta, defeated BJP-backed candidate Sandhya Singh by a decisive margin of 18,601 votes. According to the official results, Sudha Gupta secured 42,022 votes, while Sandhya Singh received 23,421 votes.
The victory is being viewed as a significant public mandate in the political landscape of Mango Municipal Corporation.
