UditVani, Jamshedpur : The District-Level Subroto Cup Football Tournament was officially inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi at Tinplate Ground in Golmuri today.
The two-day tournament features Under-17 boys’ and girls’ teams from across all blocks of East Singhbhum district.
The inauguration ceremony began with the release of balloons and a ceremonial kick-off by the Deputy Commissioner.
The event was attended by the District Education Officer, District Superintendent of Education, APO, and a large number of sports enthusiasts.
Interacting with the players, Satyarthi encouraged them to play with passion and integrity.
He described the Subroto Cup as a prestigious platform for budding footballers and emphasized that while winning and losing are part of the game, true success lies in teamwork, discipline, and dedication.
The tournament aims to foster talent and promote the spirit of sportsmanship among young athletes across the district.
