The state is expected to face intense thunderstorms, hailstorms, lightning, and gusty winds as multiple weather systems converge over the region.

Eastern Jharkhand could be lashed by hailstorms, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 40–50 kmph.
North-eastern and central areas may also experience similar conditions with strong winds.
Western districts may see thunder and lightning with slightly milder wind speeds (30–40 kmph).
April 15:
Eastern regions remain under threat with the possibility of severe hailstorms and stronger gusts touching 50–60 kmph.
Western and north-eastern belts could face thunderstorms and winds up to 50 kmph.
April 16:
Scattered thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph) are predicted across the state.
April 17:
The turbulent weather continues for most parts of Jharkhand, except the western regions, which may see some respite.
What’s Causing It ?
A Western Disturbance is currently active at 5.8 km above sea level, stretching along longitude 82°E, north of latitude 21°N.
Another trough is extending from central Bihar to North Coastal Odisha, passing through Jharkhand at a height of 3.1 km.
