UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident in Sonari, a vehicle recovery agent allegedly abducted a young man over a financial dispute on Thursday, causing panic in the area.
Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused within hours from Kadma and rescued the abducted youth safely.
According to reports, Akshat Anand, also known as Sonu, a resident of Sonari, was allegedly abducted by vehicle recovery agent Pintu Singh.
The matter traces back to a year-old dispute when Siddharth Rao, proprietor of Kallone Events, had paid a sum of money for a project that was later stalled due to disagreements.
Siddharth Rao had been demanding the return of his money, but the issue remained unresolved.
On Thursday, during the ongoing dispute, Pintu Singh reportedly forced Sonu into a vehicle and took him away.
Acting on the complaint, the Sonari police team, led by the local station in-charge, conducted a raid in Kadma, apprehended the accused, and recovered the youth unharmed.
Police sources said initial investigations indicate that Pintu Singh was assigned to recover the money.
Further interrogation is underway to determine if any other individuals were involved in the abduction.
The Sonari police officer stated that after questioning the accused, the entire case would be unraveled, and appropriate legal action is being taken under relevant sections.
