
UditVani, Jamshedpur : With the festive season around the corner, South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced the introduction of special train services between Ranchi and Ara to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic.
The move is aimed at ensuring hassle-free journeys for travellers heading home or visiting relatives during the upcoming festivals.
Schedule of Services
The 08640/08639 Ranchi–Ara–Ranchi Festival Special will run as follows:
Train No. 08640 Ranchi–Ara Special:
Departs Ranchi every Sunday from September 28 to November 2 at 8:45 pm, reaching Ara at 9:15 am the following day.
Train No. 08639 Ara–Ranchi Special:
Departs Ara every Monday from September 29 to November 3 at 10:00 am, arriving at Ranchi at 8:45 am the same day.
Stoppages
The train will halt at Muri, Kotshila, and Bokaro Steel City, catering to the needs of passengers boarding from these important junctions.
Passenger Convenience
According to SER officials, the introduction of this special service will not only ease the burden on regular trains but also provide much-needed comfort and convenience for passengers traveling between Jharkhand and Bihar during the high-demand festive period.
The initiative is expected to benefit a large number of home-bound passengers ahead of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivities.
