
UditVani,Jamshedpur : Panic gripped the Sakchi market area after a woman was robbed of her gold ornaments and cash in broad daylight on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the victim had gone to a nearby ultrasound center.
According to reports, three unidentified men approached the woman outside the center, claiming they would show her a “magic trick.”
Moments later, they forcibly snatched her gold bangles, chain, ring, and handbag containing Rs 5,000 in cash, before fleeing the spot.
The victim raised an alarm, attracting locals who immediately informed the police.
Sakchi police arrived at the spot, recorded the woman’s statement, and registered a case.
An investigation has been launched, and efforts are underway to trace and nab the culprits.
Residents have expressed growing concern over the rising number of robberies, murders, and dacoities in Jamshedpur.
