UditVani, Jamshedpur : As part of an ongoing fire safety awareness initiative, a series of mock fire drills were conducted today at various commercial establishments in Sakchi, including United Oil, JMS Store, Urmila Automobiles, and Modern Auto Store.
The drills were conducted under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, with active participation from the district fire department.
The primary aim was to equip staff members at these establishments with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond promptly and effectively during fire emergencies.
During the mock drills, employees were trained in fire alarm response, use of firefighting equipment, and safe evacuation procedures.
Practical demonstrations on first response techniques and handling fire extinguishers were also carried out.
This initiative underscores the district administration’s commitment to public safety and enhancing disaster preparedness in commercial zones.
The administration has assured that such mock drills and awareness programs will continue to be held across other areas in the future.
