Jamshedpur: In a major stride toward inclusive urban development, Tata Steel UISL has initiated piped drinking water supply in 10 No. Basti, reinforcing its mission to extend safe and reliable water services to all bustees and unserved areas under its purview.
Newly installed water networks now span Shukia Road, Sindhu Road, and Padma Road, ensuring full coverage of the 10 No. Basti locality.
The infrastructure is designed to cater to around 1,000 households, with water connections already established in 109 homes where formalities have been completed.
To date, approximately 150 residents have applied for connections, showcasing growing community interest. Tata Steel UISL continues to urge more households to come forward and take advantage of this vital utility.
This effort forms a key part of Tata Steel UISL’s broader vision for sustainable urban living, aimed at uplifting community wellbeing through robust infrastructure and essential services.
As the water supply goes live today, all remaining residents are encouraged to register and access high-quality piped water from the Town Water System.
