UditVani, Jamshedpur: Safety Awareness for Everyone ( SAFE ) Club and Tata Steel organised ‘Road Safety Month’ at the Kudy Mahanti Auditorium in Kadma.
Students and teachers from 29 schools of Jamshedpur participated in the event .
The programme was inaugurated by Traffic DSP , Neeraj Kumar . He discussed the legal aspects of traffic violations and the procedure for learners license .
During the road safety discussion , Chief Safety , Tata Steel , Neeraj Kumar Sinha gave information on defensive driving techniques and made people aware of the dangers of careless driving and speeding .
On this occasion , a quiz was also organised by CII Young Indians team , in which interesting questions and case studies were discussed .
Around 300 students and teachers attended the event . The event began with a welcome address by Sunil Kumar , gead Workplace Safety , Jamshedpur , and concluded with a vote of thanks by Udit Verma , Head (Road Safety ) , Tata Steel .
The event was coordinated by Mom Mitra , Safety Area Manager and Convener of SAFE .
SAFE is currently active in 51 schools located in Tata Steel plant area and mines .
Led by Ruchi Narendran , Chairperson of SAFE , the organisation works throughout the year to raise awareness on various aspects of safety and provide practical demonstrations of life- saving skills .
