UditVani, Jamshedpur : RVS Academy successfully conducted a Professional Development Workshop for its teaching staff on Saturday, 29 November 2025. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Chairman Mr. Binda Singh, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra and Vice‑Principal Mrs. Puja Suman, whose support and guidance lent special significance to the event.
The workshop was led by Dr. Soubhagya L. Dutt, Psychologist, Research Associate, Academician and Learning & Training Developer. He delivered insightful sessions on “Corporal Punishment and Alternative Discipline Strategies” and “Understanding and Management of Learning Disabilities,” focusing on practical classroom applications.
In his address, Chairman Mr. Binda Singh underlined the importance of empowering teachers with updated knowledge and humane disciplinary approaches, noting that a well‑trained faculty forms the foundation of an effective and child‑friendly educational environment. Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra emphasised the need for continuous professional growth and urged teachers to recognise students’ emotional and learning needs to create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
The programme aimed to help teachers adopt effective, non‑punitive disciplinary methods and deepen their understanding of learning disabilities so that every child can receive meaningful support. Teachers participated actively throughout the sessions and appreciated the practical insights and strategies shared.
The event concluded on a positive note and proved to be a valuable learning experience for the entire teaching staff. The school management thanked the teachers for their enthusiastic participation and reaffirmed its commitment to organising more such programmes to enhance professional competence and promote a positive, inclusive educational environment.
