
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a heartening act of service and compassion, the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City undertook a meaningful Service Project focused on Disease Treatment and Prevention by distributing blankets to vulnerable residents of Jorsya village in Patamda Block on Friday.
The initiative saw the distribution of 125 blankets to needy villagers, offering crucial protection against the biting winter cold and reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to community health and well-being.
The Rotary team was warmly received by the Gram Pradhan and respected elders of the village, who appreciated the timely intervention during the harsh winter season.
The blankets, generously donated by Rotary members, were personally handed over to beneficiaries, reflecting the club’s hands-on approach to service.
Adding a joyful touch to the outreach, Rotary lets accompanying the team embraced the spirit of the season by playing Santa Claus for the village children, distributing chocolates and biscuits and spreading cheer among young hearts.
Extending support beyond immediate relief, the club also donated a junior cricket set to the local school, igniting excitement and enthusiasm among the students.
The Rotary Club further assured the school authorities of continued support to address essential needs in the future.
The service activity was led and supported by Rotarians Rtn Jitesh Choudhary, Rtn Aanchal Kharia, Rtn Krishna Kharia, and Ptr Renu Choudhary, along with Rotary lets Vihaan Kharia, Aditya Kumar, Araadhya, Gayatri, and Vikramaditya.
Through this thoughtful initiative, the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City once again demonstrated that service, when delivered with empathy and dedication, has the power to bring warmth, dignity, and hope to communities in need.
