UditVani, Jamshedpur : With continuous rainfall over the past few days, water levels in major rivers of East Singhbhum district have witnessed a significant surge.
Authorities have issued a public alert as the Kharkai river has breached the danger level, while the Subernarekha river is nearing the critical mark.
According to the latest data available this evening.
Kharkai River at Adityapur Bridge Site has crossed the danger level of 129.00 metres, currently flowing at 130.09 metres.
Subernarekha River at Mango Bridge Site is currently flowing at 121.00 metres, just half a metre below its danger level of 121.50 metres.

The public is strictly advised not to venture near riverbanks, avoid unnecessary travel in flood-prone zones, and follow official updates from the district administration.
Relief and disaster response teams have been kept on standby to address any untoward situation, and coordination is ongoing between departments to ensure timely support and communication.
