Meanwhile, the election battle in Mango Municipal Corporation also intensified on the same day. Former BJP leader Lakhi Singh, who switched allegiance to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) just two days ago, formally entered the fray by filing his nomination for the Mayor’s post.
With high-profile nominations, visible political realignments, and energetic public participation, the urban local body elections in Jamshedpur have clearly gathered momentum, setting the stage for a fiercely contested political showdown.
