Uditvani Jamshedpur : The office of the District Election Officer, East Singhbhum today issued restrictions on election campaigning 48-hours before the voting day.
Breaking the rules would lead to punishment as per law.
According to the provisions mentioned in Section 126 of the Public Representation Act 1951 no person shall, in any polling area, during the period of 48- hours ending with the time fixed for the close of polling at an election in that polling area call, organize, attend, participate or address any public meeting in connection with the election.
As per mandatory provisions no person
shall exhibit any election related material to the public through cinema, television or other similar means.
Moreover, no one should publicize any election related matter before public by organizing or arranging any musical concert or any theatrical performance or any other entertainment or amusement to attract the public towards it.
