
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Jamshedpur tomorrow, February 26 with district authorities putting in place elaborate security and traffic arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of her engagements.
During her visit, the President will participate in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony at Shri Jagannath Adhyatmik & Sanskritik Trust at Kadma Marine Drive.
She will also attend a programme at Manipal Tata Medical College in Baridih.
Minute-to-Minute Schedule
According to the official itinerary, the President will arrive at Sonari Airport at 12 noon and depart for the Kadma programme venue at 12:10 pm.
After attending the function there, she is scheduled to leave Kadma at 2:30 pm and reach the Manipal Tata Medical College campus at 2:50 pm.
Following the programme at the medical college, she will depart the campus at 3:20 pm and arrive back at Sonari Airport at 3:40 pm.
The President is slated to leave for Ranchi at 3:50 pm.
Traffic Advisory
In view of the VVIP movement, the district administration has issued a detailed traffic advisory.
Bus services from Jai Prakash Narayan Bus Terminal at Bhuiyandih will remain suspended between 11 am and 4.30 pm.
Long-distance buses will operate from Dimna Chowk, while buses bound for Odisha and Chaibasa will operate from Tatanagar Railway Station and Bistupur.
Movement of heavy and four-wheeler goods vehicles will remain restricted from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Traffic on Jay Prakash Setu (Mango) will be closed 30 minutes prior to the convoy movement.
Dobo Bridge will also remain closed for vehicular traffic during the specified period.
The administration has appealed to residents to cooperate with authorities and adhere to traffic instructions to facilitate smooth and secure arrangements during the President’s visit.
