
UditVani, Jamshedpur : With the visit of President Droupadi Murmu scheduled for December 29, the Jamshedpur district administration has intensified preparations to ensure a secure, well-coordinated and dignified programme.
The Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi conducted a comprehensive review of administrative, security and protocol arrangements on Monday, holding detailed discussions with senior officials from the police, municipal bodies and other line departments.
The meeting focused on route planning, traffic management, crowd regulation and inter-departmental coordination to prevent any procedural lapses during the high-profile visit.
Authorities have been directed to expedite civic and infrastructure-related works along the proposed routes. Road repairs, beautification, lighting, cleanliness drives and other essential civic improvements are being carried out on a priority basis to present the city in a well-organised and welcoming state.
In view of heightened security requirements, a general prohibitory order has been issued declaring a No-Fly Zone over Jamshedpur and adjoining areas during the President’s visit.
The order bans the operation of drones, paragliders, hot-air balloons and other aerial devices from 6 pm on December 28 till 10 pm on December 29.
As per the schedule, the President will arrive at Sonari Airport and proceed to designated locations, including Circuit House, NIT Jamshedpur and Karandih.
Security arrangements along all routes and venues are being reinforced, with special focus on access control and surveillance.
All concerned departments have been assigned specific responsibilities and instructed to adhere strictly to timelines.
NSG team is expected to arrive here on Friday.
The district administration has affirmed that every effort is being made to ensure the President’s visit is conducted smoothly, safely and in accordance with established protocol.
