Jamshedpur: The Government of India has issued an order directing Pakistani nationals residing in India to terminate their stay and return to Pakistan.
This move has triggered a wave of concern among Pakistani citizens living across the country.
Currently, 10 Pakistani nationals are residing in Jharkhand, with four of them living in different areas of Ranchi district.
Relief for Citizens Holding Long-Term Visas
According to sources, seven out of these 10 Pakistani nationals possess Long-Term Visas (LTV). The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that citizens holding LTVs will not be required to leave India immediately.
This means that only three Pakistani nationals in Jharkhand will be required to return to Pakistan under the new directive.
Pakistani Minors Residing in Ranchi
In Ranchi’s Hindpiri and Doranda areas, four Pakistani minors are currently residing with their maternal relatives on visa permissions.
A senior official from the police’s Foreigners’ Branch stated that special procedures are being followed in the case of minors to ensure appropriate steps are taken for their repatriation.
Pakistani Nationals Across Jharkhand
Across Jharkhand, Pakistani nationals are residing in several districts including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, and Hazaribagh. District administrations have been alerted to ensure compliance with the government’s orders.
The authorities are now verifying which individuals will be required to leave and are preparing the process for their smooth return to Pakistan.
