
UditVani,Jamshedpur : Police in Olidih outpost area have arrested two men in connection with a firing incident that left a youth injured following a liquor- dispute.
A country-made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from their possession.
According to reports, on the night of September 8, a clash broke out near Jagdamba Hotel while drinking liquor. During the altercation, 21-year-old Bunty Sharma was shot and seriously injured. He was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, an FIR was registered against Sagar Prasad and Hira Yadav. Acting on the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police, a special team was formed. On September 9, the duo was intercepted and apprehended near NH-33 on Road No. 15. During interrogation, both confessed to the crime.
Police said a pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from Hira Yadav’s house on the indication of accused Sagar Prasad. Investigations also revealed Sagar Prasad’s past involvement in criminal activities, including previous charges under the Arms Act.
The City SP, Kumar Shivashish, addressing the media on Wednesday, stated that raids are continuing to nab other associates involved in the case. He assured that strict legal action will be taken against all those found guilty.
The raid team included officer-in-charge Nityanand Prasad, Parwan Sah, Ravishankar Kumar, Ravindra Pandey, constables Rahul Kumar and Madhusudan Banra.
