UditVani, Jamshedpur : In line with state government directives, the Deoghar district administration has once again reinforced the complete ban on VIP, VVIP, and out-of-turn darshan during the annual Shravani Mela, 2025.
The decision aims to ensure a smooth, safe, and equal opportunity for all devotees performing Jalabhishek at the Baba Baidyanath Dham shrine.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Naman Priesh Lakra said that the restriction has been in force since 2015 and continues this year without exception. The measure has been taken considering the massive influx of devotees during the holy month of Shravan and to uphold safety and crowd discipline.
“The intent is to facilitate uninterrupted and secure darshan for every devotee, without discrimination. We appeal to all to extend their cooperation and uphold the sanctity of the festival,” the DC added.
With lakhs of pilgrims expected from across the country, the administration is focusing on crowd management, safety, and infrastructural arrangements.
The uniform darshan policy has been appreciated in previous years for ensuring fairness and avoiding chaotic situations often triggered by privilege-based access.
Officials emphasized that no special entries or bypasses will be entertained under any circumstances, and urged all visitors to adhere strictly to the established protocols.
The Shravani Mela fair will kick off on July 11 this year and will continue till August 9.
