
Jamshedpur: Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA), Jamshedpur, concluded its 8-day Grassroots Hockey Festival 2025 with a vibrant closing ceremony, celebrating young talent and sportsmanship.
Four teams – Pokhari, Patamda, Birsa Nagar, and Parsudih – competed in the festival organized under the aegis of the Hockey Association of East Singhbhum. Team Pokhari clinched the Champion’s title, followed by Patamda (1st Runners-Up) and Birsa Nagar (2nd Runners-Up). Team Parsudih received the Fairplay Award.
Individual honours included Best Scorer awarded to Naman from Patamda, with top players from each team recognized as Best Player and Emerging Player.
Chandreyee Majumdar, Vice President of Hockey Jharkhand, graced the event as Chief Guest, alongside Gurmeet Singh Rao (NTHA Project Director) and Manjit Singh (Guest of Honour). Coaches and volunteers were also felicitated for their contributions.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo and refreshments, reinforcing NTHA’s vision of developing future hockey talent from the grassroots level.
