
UditVani, Jamshedpur : The 28th National Convention of the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Marwari Sammelan was held at the Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra, Chhatarpur (Delhi).
Inaugurating the session, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta lauded the Marwari community for its rich tradition of service, business excellence, and cultural values, saying it has always contributed to growth wherever it settled.
On the occasion, Pawan Kumar Goenka took charge as the new National President of the Sammelan, describing the convention as not merely an event but a pledge of unity and progress. He assured organizational expansion and the opening of new branches. Kedarnath Gupta was appointed as the National General Secretary.

Jharkhand tops in membership expansion
The Jharkhand Provincial Marwari Sammelan made a strong mark at the convention, with over 25 delegates led by President Suresh Chandra Agarwal. Jharkhand received the national award for securing the highest number of new memberships, handing over fees of more than 600 members to the national body.
Demand for building and ₹25 lakh fund
The Jharkhand unit also raised the long-pending demand for allocation of a building and ₹25 lakh from the Provincial Sammelan Trust. Responding to this, the National President assured a joint meeting of all stakeholders and strict action for resolution.
Sakchi branch earns top national honour
Among 400 active branches across India, Sakchi Branch (Jamshedpur) was declared the ‘Best Branch’ in the country. Representing the branch at the convention were President Bajrang Lal Agarwal, General Secretary Bablu Agarwal, Treasurer Sunny Sanghi, and National Executive Member Deepak Pareek.
