UditVani, Jamshedpur : After an impressive stint with the Indian national team, forward Manvir Singh has returned to Jamshedpur FC with renewed confidence and determination ahead of the Super Cup.
The 24-year-old, who earned his first senior national team call-up earlier this year, says his recent experiences have strengthened his mindset for the challenges ahead.
Reflecting on his national team journey, Manvir said, “It was my first time representing the senior Indian team, and winning the bronze medal at the CAFA Nations Cup 2025 made it even more memorable. Playing against strong teams taught me a lot, and wearing the national jersey is a proud feeling. This experience motivates me to work even harder for more success.”
Returning from national duty, Manvir’s focus is now firmly on Jamshedpur FC, where he recently extended his contract after a standout Durand Cup campaign. “This club has shown great faith in me, and I’ve grown both as a player and as a person here. My goal is to repay that trust with consistent performances this season,” he added.
Head Coach Steven Dias has praised Manvir’s progress and discipline, a sentiment the forward shares. “Working under Coach Steven has been fantastic. His emphasis on movement, pressing, and combination play has helped me improve. He also gives players confidence to express themselves, which is very important for an attacking player,” said Manvir.
Known for his versatility, Manvir can operate both as a central striker and on the wings. “What matters is contributing to the team’s goals. I adapt to what the team needs in each game, whether it’s delivering crosses or focusing on finishing and link-up play,” he explained.
As Jamshedpur FC prepares for the Super Cup under Dias’ guidance, Manvir is optimistic about the team’s prospects. “The mood in the camp is very positive. We’ve got a strong mix of experienced players and youngsters, and everyone is hungry to start the campaign well. Personally, I aim to contribute with goals and assists and help the team go as far as possible.”
He also conveyed a message to fans: “The support from Jamshedpur fans is incredible. They create an amazing atmosphere at the Furnace, and we want to make them proud with our performances. We’re training hard to deliver a strong Super Cup and carry that momentum into the ISL.”
Jamshedpur FC will kick off their Super Cup campaign in Group B against FC Goa on October 26, followed by matches against NorthEast United FC on October 29 and Inter Kashi on November 1. With Manvir Singh in fine form, the Men of Steel are poised to make a strong statement under Dias’ leadership.
