UditVani, Jamshedpur: In an attempt to strengthen the healthcare system and enhance the quality of medical services across the state, the Jharkhand government, under the Chief Minister Hospital Mentoring Scheme decided to improve the quality and efficiency of doctors and medical staff by linking some major hospitals in the state (Mentor Hospitals) with other hospitals (Mentee Hospitals) through mentorship and provide better medical facilities.
The scheme aims to improve the efficiency and skills of doctors and medical staff through collaboration between Mentor Hospitals and Mentee Hospitals.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay Namdar, a surgeon of Manipal-Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur has been for mentoring Sadar Hospital Jamshedpur and Sadar Hospital Saraikela for new Chief minister mentorship program.
He hails from Karnataka and has completed his MBBS from Shri B M Patil Medical College, Karnataka, with M S (General Surgery) from MKCG Medical college Berhampur Orissa.
He has gold medal in MS Surgery from Berhampur University with 6 International indexed and 4 national indexed publications.
Also won several Best Paper awards. He undergone Laparoscopic Basic and Advanced Training from AIIMS, New Delhi.
He has served Sri B M Patil, Great Eastern and Mata Gujri University and Medical Colleges across various states.
Delivered lectures and participated in CME programmes Mata Gujri Medical College and Shri B M Patil Medical College, Karnataka.
His special interest fields are laparoscopic surgery basic and advanced, hepatobiliary, surgery on pancreas, management of postoperative complications like enterocutaneous fistulae, surgical emergency, blunt trauma abdomen, surgery on diaphragmatic hernia, and management of vesicovaginal fistula.
