UditVani, Jamshedpur : A mysterious death case has surfaced in Daiguttu Kaveri Road under Mango Police Station, where 35-year-old Sanjeet Kumar Upadhyay, an employee of TRF, reportedly died after being served suspected poisonous liquor during a birthday party. The family has accused his friends of conspiring to kill him, and a case has been registered with the Mango Police. Investigation is currently underway.
According to information, Sanjeet attended a birthday celebration with his friends on Saturday night. The family alleges that during the party, his friends forced him to consume alcohol, after which his condition deteriorated rapidly. His companions then called Sanjeet’s elder brother, who rushed to the spot and brought him home. Since Sanjeet’s wife, Priyanka Kumari, was at her maternal home, he was laid to rest in his room.
On Sunday morning, when family members tried to wake him, Sanjeet was found unconscious. Alarmed, the family immediately rushed him to Tata Main Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The news of his death triggered grief and shock in the family. His wife and children are devastated.
Relatives revealed that Sanjeet had gone to the party with friends identified as Rahul Tiwari, Ramesh, Tej Pratap Singh, Teju, Mohan Singh, Vijendra Singh, Narendra Singh, Aakash and others. The family alleges that these individuals served him spiked or poisonous liquor, leading to his death. Shockingly, all of these youths have been absconding since the incident and have not even met the family.
The family has firmly stated that Sanjeet’s friends were involved in the conspiracy and have demanded swift action from the police.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified the probe and are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Raids are being conducted to trace the absconding suspects.
