
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a strong initiative against the illegal trade and abuse of narcotic substances, the Government of India has launched the MANAS (Mental Health and Normalcy Augmentation System) – a National Narcotics Helpline Portal.
This portal provides 24×7 service across the country, enabling citizens to report any drug-related activity by calling the toll-free number 1933.
Complaints can be lodged regarding:
* Drug trafficking, illegal sale, purchase, storage or production
* Illegal cultivation of narcotic or psychotropic substances
* Information received from citizens will be promptly reviewed by officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and necessary action will be taken.
The objective of the MANAS portal is to free society from the grip of narcotics and move towards a drug-free India. Citizens are urged to make full use of this initiative and actively participate in this campaign against drugs.
