
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Loyola School, Telco hosted its grand 9th Annual Sports Meet with remarkable enthusiasm and vibrant displays of sportsmanship from students of Standards 1 to 10.
The event showcased discipline, teamwork, and athletic excellence—hallmarks of the Loyola spirit.
Rector Fr. Michael Thanaraj, SJ graced the ceremony as the chief guest, accompanied by Fr. Vinod, Principal of Loyola School Bistupur, School Principal Charanjit Ohson, Administrator Fr. Gerry D’Souza, Fr. Pius Fernandes, and Fr. Akhilesh Kumar.

The celebration began with a meticulously co-ordinated march-past led by School Commander-in-Chief Nishit Rai and Arpita Tiwary.
They were followed by the promising sportspersons serving as flag bearers, along with Captains and Vice Captains of the four School Houses—Jaguar, Panther, Leopard, and Cheetah—marching forward with pride and unity.
A significant highlight of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the Sports Meet Flame by torchbearers Shambhavi Mishra, Srijan Sanyal, Shaan Murmu, and Prateek Mahato, marking the official commencement of the event.

The school’s Drum and Bugle Corps, under the leadership of Captain Lakshya Verma, captivated the gathering with a powerful performance that set the tone for the day’s activities.
This was followed by a vibrant cultural and fitness showcase—Std I & II performed a colorful drill commemorating the school’s 10 illustrious years, Std III & IV impressed with dynamic karate demonstrations, and Std V & VI delivered a serene yet strong yoga display, highlighting balance and well-being.

Outstanding student achievements were celebrated across Inter-House events, Indoor Games, Best Athlete recognitions, and Special Awards.
House performances earned the following honors:
* Best Discipline Award: Leopard House
* Best March-past Award: Panther House
* Overall Champion House: Panther House
* Second Runner-up: Cheetah House
The 9th Annual Sports Meet concluded on a high note, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing holistic growth through sports.

Principal Charanjit Ohson extended heartfelt gratitude to the students, coaches, staff, and supporting teams for their tireless efforts in making the event a resounding success.
