UditVani, Jamshedpur : The vibrant presence of Jyoti, the beloved bear who greeted visitors at the entrance of Tata zoo, is no more. After battling illness for the past 15 days, Jyoti passed away despite extensive medical care and efforts to save her.
According to zoo officials, Jyoti had suddenly stopped eating and drinking, which further weakened her condition. She was promptly admitted to the zoo hospital for treatment, but her health continued to deteriorate.
Tata Steel Zoological Park manager Naeem Akhtar confirmed the sad news, adding that Jyoti had been under constant medical supervision and all possible efforts were made to save her.
Her passing has cast a shadow of gloom over the zoo, especially for frequent visitors who fondly remember her as the first animal they would see upon entering.
Jyoti’s absence will be deeply felt, not just by the staff but also by the countless visitors who adored her.
