UditVani, Jamshedpur : Ahead of the highly anticipated Ghatshila by-election, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has released its official list of star campaigners, featuring 40 senior party leaders.
The announcement comes as the party intensifies its efforts to consolidate support in the constituency, which has emerged as a key battleground in the state’s political landscape.
According to party sources, the list includes top JMM leaders from across Jharkhand, including sitting ministers, influential legislators, and senior party strategists.
The move is part of a broader strategy to ensure maximum voter outreach and energize the party cadre in the run-up to the by-poll.
The names were formally approved in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi, which saw the participation of all Kolhan region legislators.
“The Ghatshila by-election is crucial for the party, and we are deploying our strongest leaders to connect with the voters directly,” a senior JMM official said adding “Each campaigner on the list has significant experience and a proven track record of mobilizing support at the grassroots level.”
Political analysts suggest that the JMM’s decision to include a wide array of senior leaders reflects the party’s recognition of the constituency’s diverse voter base, which comprises tribal communities, urban voters, and workers from local industrial belts. The by-election, triggered after the seat fell vacant due to unforeseen circumstances, has drawn attention from all major political parties in the state.
The announcement of the star campaigners comes amid a series of intensive organizational meetings by the JMM, where election strategies, voter engagement plans, and outreach initiatives were discussed in detail.
Party sources indicated that special attention would be given to door-to-door campaigns, public rallies, and digital outreach to connect with younger voters.
With the list now public, each campaigner is expected to play a specific role in consolidating support and ensuring that the party’s message reaches every corner of the constituency.
Observers note that the JMM’s strong focus on leadership visibility and coordinated campaigning could prove decisive in influencing voter sentiment.
As Ghatshila prepares for the by-election, all eyes will be on how effectively the party leverages its star campaigners to secure a mandate, making this contest a key indicator of political trends in the Kolhan region.
