
UditVani, Ranchi : The much-awaited Jharkraft Expo will be held at Morabadi ground in Ranchi from March 7 to March 20, promising a vibrant celebration of Jharkhand’s rich tribal heritage, handloom, and handicraft traditions.
Organised by Jharkraft, the grand exhibition will feature as many as 500 stalls, bringing together artisans, weavers, and self-help groups from across the state and beyond.
The expo aims to provide a robust platform for local craftsmen to showcase and market their products directly to consumers, thereby promoting sustainable livelihoods and preserving traditional art forms.
Visitors can expect an extensive range of handwoven textiles, tribal jewellery, bamboo and cane products, terracotta items, dokra art, natural food products, and other eco-friendly goods.
Officials said the event is not just a marketplace but also a cultural extravaganza, with folk performances, live craft demonstrations, and interactive sessions lined up throughout the two-week fair.
The expo is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including traders, art enthusiasts, and tourists.
With 500 stalls set up under one roof, the Jharkraft Expo is poised to become one of the largest handicraft exhibitions in the region, reaffirming Jharkhand’s growing reputation as a hub of indigenous art and craftsmanship.
