
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jharkhand is set to experience misty mornings and partly cloudy days over the next few days, with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in some regions, according to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department.
On Friday (October 25), moderate fog is expected in southern, central, and north-western parts of the state during the morning hours, giving way to partly cloudy skies later in the day.
Light rain or thunderstorms may occur at isolated places in the south-western region, while dry weather will persist across the remaining districts.
On Saturday (October 26), similar weather conditions are likely, with fog in isolated areas during the morning and partly cloudy skies thereafter.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain or thunderstorm at a few places in the western parts of Jharkhand, while most other areas will remain dry.
By Sunday (October 27), fog or mist may appear again in southern, central, and north-western pockets early in the day, followed by partly cloudy conditions.
The forecast also indicates the possibility of light to moderate rainfall or thunderstorm at isolated locations in the southern parts of the state.
Meteorologists have noted an upper air cyclonic circulation persisting over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Haryana at around 3.1 Km above mean sea level.
Moreover, another circulation lies over the south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal, extending up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal today, which may move west-northwestwards and intensify further within 24- hours.
During the past 24-hours, dry weather prevailed across Jharkhand, with clear skies and calm winds.
However, with changing synoptic conditions over the Bay of Bengal, light rain activity is likely in parts of the state as the weekend progresses.
