
UditVani, Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur is set to take centre stage on the Indian youth football calendar as it hosts the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2025-26, Rest of India (ROI)-2 Regional Qualifiers from December 31, following the confirmation of revised fixtures and participating teams.
Sporting Club Kerala and J&K Sports Council FA have withdrawn from the competition, with Sports Odisha and Chhattisgarh United FC stepping in as replacements, ensuring the tournament format remains unchanged.
A total of 15 matches will be played across the JRD Tata Sports Complex and the Flatlet grounds, reaffirming the city’s status as a key hub for elite youth football. Along with Sports Odisha and Chhattisgarh United FC, the participating teams include Bidhanagar Municipal SA, Zinc Football Academy, Football 4 Change and hosts Jamshedpur FC.
Jamshedpur FC will field their Under-18 side in the qualifiers, continuing the club’s strong emphasis on youth development and competitive exposure.
The young Men of Steel are already engaged in the Elite League home-and-away fixtures, and the RFDL qualifiers add another demanding challenge to their packed January schedule.
The qualifiers will get underway on December 31, with league matches spread across early January at the two city venues.
With the RFDL returning once again, Jamshedpur keeps its football calendar vibrant through the New Year, underlining its growing prominence in the national youth football landscape.
