UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC’s promising winger Mohammed Sanan is gearing up for a breakthrough season after gaining valuable international exposure with the India U23 side in the AFC U23 Asia Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Doha.
The 20-year-old played a key role against Qatar U23, delivering the cross that set up Suhail’s goal in a high-intensity clash. Sanan said the experience sharpened his game and boosted his confidence. “It was a big step forward. Playing against Qatar demanded pace, concentration, and composure. That assist showed the patterns we’ve been working on can trouble strong teams, and it gives me belief to keep being brave in 1v1s and the final ball,” he reflected.
Back at club level, Sanan is determined to cement his place in Jamshedpur FC’s first team. “My focus is on consistent minutes, improving end product, and refining details like timing of runs, weaker foot delivery, and decision-making in transitions. Jamshedpur trusts young players, and I want to repay that faith with goals, assists, and match-winning contributions,” he said.
Though India’s campaign ended in heartbreak after narrowly missing out on progression, Sanan believes the experience will fuel both his and the team’s future ambitions. “It hurts because we believed we had done enough. But it showed we can compete at that level. Now the aim is to turn fine margins in our favour with better execution and carry that intensity into club football,” he added.
As Jamshedpur FC prepares for the upcoming season, Sanan’s international experience and renewed confidence could make him a decisive figure in their campaign.
