UditVani, Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur FC Under-16 will kick off their Junior League 2025–26 campaign with an away match against Infocus Football Academy near Habra, West Bengal, on January 30.
The fixture marks the first competitive outing of the season for the 20-member JFC squad, while the remaining Group ‘G’ zonal round fixtures are yet to be announced by the All India Football Federation.
Of the selected players, 16 hail from Jharkhand, chosen through extensive three-month trials across the state.
The initiative underscores JFC’s commitment to nurturing grassroots talent and providing a platform for local players.
The squad has been training under head coach Shakti Singh, who expressed confidence ahead of the opening match.
“The players have been improving constantly. This season’s preparation has been excellent, and it’s a golden opportunity, especially for Jharkhand players,” he said.
The team will depart for West Bengal on January 29.
