Jamshedpur : IIM Ranchi successfully inaugurated the certificate programme titled “The Art, Craft, and Science of Management” on April 8, , for the BBA students of IMS Ghaziabad.
The programme aims to introduce participants to the fundamentals of management and inspire essential leadership qualities in young learners.
This five-day residential programme was formally inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education and Consultancy, IIM Ranchi and Programme Directors Prof. Manish Kumar and Prof. Ambuj Anand.
The inauguration commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Prof. Anand introduced students to the objectives and key features of the programme.
He emphasized the increasing importance of management skills across all professional domains.
Students today must have an understanding of finance, human resources, accounting, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, he noted.
Companies now seek individuals who possess problem-solving skills rooted in management thinking—those who can identify issues, analyze them, and offer impactful solutions.
With this vision in mind, IIM Ranchi curated The Art, Craft, and Science of Management certificate programme to empower students with foundational managerial capabilities.
Prof. Kumar shed light on IIM Ranchi’s academic journey and highlighted how management education fosters the mindset required to resolve real-world challenges.
The training programme will expose students to topics such as The Three Planes of Management: Information, People, and Action, Organizational Communication, and techniques for problem identification and decision-making.
Prof. Sachan, encouraged students to make the most of this learning opportunity and to gain as much knowledge as possible from the programme.
The day concluded with a group photograph session for the IMS Ghaziabad students, marking the beginning of a memorable academic journey at IIM Ranchi.
