
UditVani, Jamshedpur : In a major initiative to safeguard election personnel, the District Election Officer (DEO) of East Singhbhum has announced that all polling staff and security forces involved in the 45–Ghatsila (ST) Assembly By-Election 2025 will receive cashless medical treatment in case of sudden illness or accidents.
A high-level meeting was convened at the Collectorate Auditorium under the leadership of DEO–cum–Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi.
Other attendees included Rural SP Rishabh Garg, Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, and representatives from government and private hospitals, as well as block and community health centers.
The DEO stressed that the health and safety of every polling and security personnel is a top priority for the district administration.
Hospitals, both government and private, have been instructed to ensure immediate provision of cashless medical care in any emergency.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal has been directed to ensure adequate availability of doctors, medicines, and medical resources during the election period.
All hospitals have been placed on 24×7 emergency alert and must maintain direct coordination with the district control room and health department.
Bills for cashless treatments will be submitted to the district administration for prompt processing.
The DEO also warned that any negligence or delay in providing this facility would lead to strict action against the concerned hospital or staff.
