
UditVani, Jamshedpur : Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar on Monday visited remote polling stations in the Gudabandha block of Ghatshila Assembly constituency to review preparations for the upcoming by-election.
At a review meeting held at the Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Office, Kumar directed election officials to ensure flawless arrangements. He instructed them to identify all check posts, strengthen coordination in border areas, and finalize the formation of Flying Squads and other election-related teams. He also emphasized the need for physical inspection of polling stations and extensive voter awareness campaigns, stressing the Election Commission’s mission of “no voter left behind.”
Later, the CEO inspected Polling Station No. 189 at Primary School, Khejurdadi. He interacted with the Booth Level Officer (BLO), reviewed the voter list revision process, and assessed available polling facilities. Praising the BLO’s efforts, he noted that door-to-door verification was being carried out diligently, with new voters added and records updated to reflect deaths and absentees.
Kumar urged BLOs to ensure that every eligible citizen is enrolled and that the voter list remains accurate and inclusive.
District Electoral Officer–cum–Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, Joint CEO Subodh Kumar, Deputy CEO Dev Das Dutta, Deputy Electoral Officer Priyanka Singh, EROs, AEROs, police officials, and other election staff were present during the visit.
