
UditVani, Jamshedpur: A divisional-level training programme focusing on scientific foodgrain storage and efficient supply chain management was organised at Sidhgora Town Hall for block-level officials and staff from East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum districts.
Senior officials from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and Jharkhand State Food Corporation (JSFC) participated in the programme and shared technical insights on safe foodgrain handling, modern storage practices, warehouse management, loss minimisation, quality control, transportation coordination and strengthening the public distribution system (PDS).

During the training, participants were sensitised on maintaining proper stock positions, ensuring timely supply, adopting scientific warehousing norms and enhancing transparency through the use of digital tools and e-platforms. The programme aimed at making the PDS more efficient, systematic and citizen-centric.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion between officials of FCI, JSFC and participants, focusing on field-level challenges in warehouse management and practical solutions for improving operational efficiency.
